Hoffman Horse Mineral is a complete vitamin & mineral product. Some minerals are very harsh and will break down other minerals & vitamins, making them ineffective or destroying them all together. In order to help prevent this from happening carriers are added, such as millrun or rice bran. These carriers look like “Chex” cereal with small cube like holes where the vitamins wedge into in order to protect themselves from the harsh mineral environments. With the introduction of the carriers it may seem like you are feeding more than other products but you are delivering all the vitamins & minerals to your horse in an effect way. This way your horse can receive both the vitamins & minerals they require.
